Meet Nutrition Edition's Em
About Me
My interest in nutrition began early on, spending countless hours at my grandparents' farm, learning to grow, gather, process, and cook food. It wasn't until I went to university for something else and took a nutrition course out of curiosity that I discovered my passion for the science behind nutrition. Through my studies, I learned that nutrition is just one part of how we can support our bodies.
I love how making small changes to our lifestyle can have a huge impact on our overall health and well-being. I enjoy working alongside people, guiding them to achieve their goals. My approach to nutrition centres on treating the whole person. By considering all aspects of an individual's lifestyle, my goal is not to tell you what to do but to collaborate on creating a sustainable and achievable plan that fits into your life.
When I'm not working with clients, I love expressing my creative side in various ways, even though I'm not an artist. During winter, you'll often find me up on the ski slopes, staying active and enjoying the outdoors. In the summer, I love to be by the sea at every opportunity, swimming, snorkelling, or soaking up the sun. These activities bring me joy and keep me grounded.
I'm committed to guiding you on your health journey and helping you achieve your wellness goals. Feel free to explore the rest of my website to learn more about how we can work together.

As an Associate Registered Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of NZ which means I have met their minimum requirements that all registered nutritionists hold a Bachelor’s degree at least, engage in regular clinical supervision and further education requirements, and uphold their strict code of ethics.
I consistently further my studies and regularly allocate time for continued education.
In New Zealand, the term "nutritionist" is not protected, meaning anyone with a diploma or even an online course can claim the title of nutritionist, nutrition coach, or registered clinical nutritionist. Unfortunately, these terms do not guarantee safe, evidence-based practice.
